We are thrilled to announce that we will be open summer of 2025 for the 40th anniversary of the Birch Bay Waterslides on June 14th!
The duration of guaranteed good weather is dynamic based on the dates and location of your trip/experience. The terms of the guarantee are clearly stated when you book, in confirmation emails, and in pre-arrival emails. You will receive a payout from Sensible if the forecast weather each day of your trip exceeds the conditions stated in your Weather Guarantee.
Do I need to submit a claim?
No, you do not need to submit a claim. When the forecast weather exceeds the weather conditions stated in your Weather Guarantee, you will receive a text message and email to start the reimbursement process with Sensible. No complex claims process or proof of loss is required.
Who pays for the reimbursement?
All reimbursements are paid by Sensible Weather. Sensible’s partners are not liable for any Weather Guarantee reimbursements to guests.
How much reimbursement do I receive with a Weather Guarantee?
Weather Guarantee payout amounts vary and are defined at the time of booking your Weather Guarantee. You are eligible to receive a daily payout equal to the average daily or nightly cost of the qualifying reservation or experience.
How long does it take to get paid?
Sensible triggers communication with you the morning of your trip to let you know if you have a reimbursement waiting. You may choose to receive your payout via Payal or ACH. Processing time depends on the bank and reimbursement method you choose, but typically funds arrive within 3-5 business days.
Can I still go on my trip or experience if I get a reimbursement?
Yes, the Weather Guarantee does not result in any cancellation of your trip or experience. You can continue with your plans, even if you get a reimbursement from Sensible.
What is the difference between a Weather Guarantee and Insurance?
Weather Guarantees are not insurance products. Traditional travel/ticket insurance policies cover catastrophic events that cause cancellation of your trip/event. While insurance products typically cover cancellations leading up to a trip (such as sickness or injury), Sensible guarantees specific weather during the dates of your trip, protecting you in the event that the forecast does not align with the guaranteed conditions.

Yes! You can purchase tickets for kids under 42" online or at the admissions window.
You can purchase the senior rate for guests over 60 years old at the admissions window.
Yes, all guests need to buy a ticket regardless of if they are going in the water or not?
Limited tickets will be available at the gate, but prices are higher for same day tickets. We recommend purchasing online in advance.
We have group rates for any group over 15 people! Please book through our website or call us at 360-371-7500.
All kids 2 and under are free!
Outside food and beverages may not be brought into the park, with limited exceptions:
Sealed bottled water.
Baby Food (formula).
We offer a wide variety of restaurants and snack options throughout the park. You may also leave the park to eat - simply have your hand stamped before exiting so you may return the same day.
We do our best to stay open when people are here and it starts raining. However, we do reserve the right to close early. We have partnered with Sensible Weather this year which we recommend adding on to your purchase! They will proactively reimburses up to 100% of your booking if bad weather is forecast during your visit. Bronze Pass: $79.00
Silver Pass: $89.00
Gold Pass: $119.00

Season passes are non-transferable and can only be used by the registered passholder. However, with our silver and gold season pass, you get 2 free buddy tickets for the season!
At the Silver and Gold season pass level, guests get discounts at our concessions stand and gift shop!

Purchase a gift card to give the gift of summer fun at the Birch Bay Waterslides! You will receive an emailed receipt with the gift card after your purchase. Once the recipient receives it, they can go to our website to purchase a season pass using the gift card as the payment method. They can also choose to hold on to it till next summer and use it at the admissions window, gift shop or concessions stand!
If you do not have a picture to upload of the season pass holder, you can bypass this step when checking out. If you do have a photo, you can email us the picture to team@birchbaywaterslides.net and we can upload it for you!

In the confirmation email sent to you after your purchase, there is a link there to complete the required waiver!
If you purchase a silver or gold season pass, you get 2 buddy tickets. This means that you can bring a friend with you two days throughout the season, or two friends on one day! Please note that the buddy ticket is attached to the season pass holders account so the pass holder must be present to redeem the buddy ticket.
Yes, with a paying adult or an adult that is a season pass holder, all 2 years old and under are free!

Yes, all guests — including season pass holders — must have a signed waiver on file before entering the park through SmartWaiver. Fill yours out here:
Waivers are required for each guest and only need to be completed once per season.
